Indiana Pacers Legend Reggie Miller Doubles Down on New York Knicks Savagery: ‘I’ve Owned This City’
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It has been nearly three decades since Indiana Pacers icon Reggie Miller gifted the basketball world with a historic performance in Madison Square Garden. The Hall of Famer returns to the Mecca of Basketball on Wednesday night not as a player, but as a commentator who will be calling Game 2 between his beloved Pacers and the New York Knicks.

Miller has already trolled the Knicks and the city of New York with his own brand of savagery heading into the game, and the 58-year-old has decided to double down on the same ahead of Wednesday’s tip-off.

Indiana Pacers News: Reggie Miller Trolls New York Knicks, Again

Miller said earlier that he’s looking forward to getting jeered and hearing the “Reggie sucks” cheers from the New York faithful. In fact, he admitted that he would be disappointed if he did not get a hostile reception from Knicks fans.

Well, Miller is doing everything he can to rile up the New Yorkers. Right before Game 2 started, Miller sent a brutal reminder to the Knicks and its fans about his dominance over them in the past:

“People are like, ‘aren’t you worried about going back to New York City and calling a game?’ No! I’ve owned this city. I’ve owned this building! So why would I be worried about walking on out there?” Miller said.

That’s savage.

The Pacers have a real legend cheering them on here, but it will take much more than Miller’s support to carry them through in Game 2. Indiana is down 0-1 in the series and another loss on Wednesday, while not exactly catastrophic, will be a huge blow to their hopes of advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time since Miller led them to the pinnacle back in 2000.
