Max Allegri tries to keep Juventus on track against Milan in this head-to-head for second place and discusses the rare Kenan Yildiz start.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

Juve were second and the main Scudetto rivals to Inter for the first half of the season before collapsing and are now five points adrift of the Rossoneri.

They did reach the Coppa Italia Final after a 3-2 aggregate victory over Lazio on Tuesday, despite losing 2-1 on the night, thanks to a late Arkadiusz Milik goal off the bench.

“It is always Juventus-Milan and we are seeking points to get us into the Champions League. We are not there yet, so we need a good performance and points to achieve that objective,” Allegri told DAZN.

Allegri on rare Yildiz start

Federico Chiesa is left on the bench this evening, as Kenan Yildiz forms a new partnership with Dusan Vlahovic. Is this a sign of what is to come next season?

“No, we are making some changes to rest players after a difficult game in Rome on Tuesday, as we used up a lot of energy, but those on the bench can come on and give their contribution.”

While many would argue that third or even fourth place is not something Juve should celebrate, Allegri continues to insist he is on track for a successful campaign.

“We don’t have anything to prove, we just need to achieve the target of qualifying for the Champions League and can get important points for that this evening.”
